1.     Scope

1.1.  These general terms and conditions apply to participants of an event that entail an attendance fee organized by the organizer PMI Frankfurt chapter.

2.     Conclusion of the contract

2.1.  A registration by the participant is binding for the participant.

2.2.  A contract is concluded through a confirmation by the event organizer to the participant.

3.     Services, terms of payment, delay, cancellation

3.1.  The attendance fee includes the services offered by the event as per the event announcement.

3.2. The participant shall pay the fees agreed for these services online. The agreed fees include the respective statutory value added tax.

3.3. The event organizer's invoices are issued with the online payment.

3.4.  A flat-rate fee of 25€ will be charged for subsequent changes to the invoice (e.g. invoice recipient, address).

3.5. If the participant’s cancellation occurs within the period specified prior to the event in calendar days, an event flat processing fee will be charged. The rest of the participation fee will be transferred to the reference account of the payer. Refunds shall be made no later than 28 calendar days after the event.

3.6. There will be no refund of the attendance fee in case of cancellation within the period specified prior to the event in calendar days.

3.7. If the participant does not pay the agreed fee for an event booked by him/her, the organizer is entitled to withdraw from the contract even within the reasonable grace period set to him/her.

3.8. Cancellations must be made in writing. They can be either be mailed to the PMI Frankfurt chapter’s address or sent to the e-mail address .

3.9. Furthermore, the event organizer is entitled to withdraw from the contract for objectively justified reasons. This applies in particular to the case of force majeure and other circumstances for which the organizer is not responsible, and which make the fulfilment of the contract impossible.

4.     Programme changes, food and beverages

4.1.  The event organizer reserves the right to make changes to the programme, even on short or without notice.

4.2. In case of cancellation of lectures or changes in the program, no full or partial reimbursement of the participation fee will be made.

4.3. The participant is generally denied the bringing of food or drinks to the event.

5.     Data protection, data collection, use, setting and publication of content

5.1. Participant’s data will be collected by the organizer to carry out the event. The collection, processing (including storage, changes, forwarding, blocking and deletion) and usage of the data take place exclusively in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.

5.2. The organizer's Internet pages also contain links to other websites. The organizer is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other websites.

6. Liability

6.1.  The organizer is liable for damages, except in the case of breach of essential contractual obligations, only to the extent that the organizer, its legal representatives, senior employees or other vicarious agents are subject to deliberate or gross negligence. If essential contractual obligations are violated, the organizer is liable for any culpable conduct of his legal representatives, officers or other vicarious agents.

6.2. The liability of the event organizer for the compensation of indirect damages, in particular for loss of profit shall not apply.

6.3. The liability of the organizer is limited to the amount of damages foreseeable at the conclusion of the contract and typical of the contract.

6.4. The aforementioned exclusions of liability and restrictions do not apply to damage from injury to life, body or health or in the event of compulsory statutory regulations.

6.5. Participants are responsible for themselves during the event and are liable for any damage caused by them. Any rental material damaged or lost beyond normal wear and tear shall be replaced by the participants.

7. Data collection

The event participants may be provided with a list of participants with their name, first name, company and position. By registering, the participant agrees to be included in the list of participants. Otherwise, the participant must object to be included in the list in writing up to four weeks before the event.

8.     Permission and revocation for the use of photography

8.1. By registering to this event, participants agree that any photography taken during the event, where they may appear (in part or in full) may be published in the media of the PMI Frankfurt chapter (e.g. website, online magazine, newsletter, flyer).

8.2. If a participant does not agree with the publication, this must be immediately communicated to the PMI Frankfurt Chapter with a comprehensible reference to the concrete picture. You can revoke the publication of your data at any time by e-mail to: . Upon revocation, the relevant photo will be removed from the relevant media from the PMI Frankfurt Chapter e.v. as far as possible.

9. Written form, place of performance, jurisdiction, validity

9.1.  Changes to the agreements between the parties shall be made in writing.

9.2. Place of performance and payment is the registered office of the event organizer.

9.3. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the event organizer.

9.4. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

9.5. Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be ineffective or void, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

10. Right of revocation for consumers

If the participant is a consumer according to § 13 BGB, the following applies: The participant may revoke the contract declaration within 14 days without giving reasons in any form according to § 355 I 2 BGB. The period of revocation shall be fourteen days from the date of the conclusion of the contract. In order to comply with the deadline, the timely submission of the revocation by e-mail () or mail to the PMI Frankfurt Chapter is sufficient. Consequences of revocation: In the case of effective revocation, any services received by both parties and any benefits derived are to be returned. Duties for the compensation of payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for the participant with the sending of the revocation declaration and for the PMI Frankfurt Chapter with its reception.
